What were you doing career wise before the course and what led you to join the course?

“I used to be an assistant headteacher but left the teaching profession around 2 years ago. Since this time, I have set up a small commercial utilities business. More recently I have set up a coaching business to help teachers overcome burnout and either re-engage in teaching or transition to another career. Upon applying, my little business was only just launched and had no clients.
I joined this course because although I have some knowledge of basic IT, I felt overwhelmed by the differing information out there around best practices for digital marketing. I also felt that there are significant gaps in my knowledge, leading to a lack of confidence and consistency. When I was informed of the course, I felt this would be an ideal opportunity to address these gaps.” – Kelly

“Support in understanding SEO – achieved. There were a lot of people out there who made this more complicated than it is. Knowledge in the best use of social media for advertising – achieved. Tips, strategies, and ideas to promote my business utilising social media – achieved. A greater understanding of copywriting and appealing to my niche audience – achieved.” – Kelly

What skills have you learnt on the course?

“Using automation to make my life easier, this has been a game changer for me and frees up time. How to set up automations within my website to make email marketing more simplified. Segmentation, although I am still in the process of applying this. Copywriting, I am actually getting comments from others about how much this has developed.” – Kelly

How will this course help you with your career goals / ambitions?

“This course has already helped me to convert prospects into paying clients. I feel a lot more confident in using social media as well as building my own website. Although I am still in the startup phase, moving my business to achieve financial goals is a lot more realistic and achievable. Upon starting, I had 2 contacts signed up to my email list; this has increased to 52, especially since Christmas, with new leads coming in weekly. All this means that my reach is increasing to a wider audience, and now I am able to help more teachers.” – Kelly
