Michael – Manufacturing / Production Course

Michael enrolled onto the course as he wanted to get back into work following redundancy due to the COVID-19 crisis. Michael had previously worked as a chef for many years.

During the course, Michael’s son was hospitalised in intensive care 250 miles away and he was unable to visit or help due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions. Despite these significant personal challenges during the course, he maintained his focus, commitment and good humour throughout. The work he produced was of a very high standard and he completed the course with flying colours.

Due to the interruptions he was receiving, he felt he would have to withdraw from the course. Michael’s tutor discussed what Michael wanted to do and was able to support him with one to one sessions, meaning that he was able to stay on the course and complete his work to a high standard.

Michael was put forward for an interview at E-bac by our Business Development team, he was successful at the interview and gained employment with E-bac as a Production Operative.
