Lean Organisation Management Techniques & Mental Health First Aid
Why did you decide to join the Lean Organisation Management Techniques & Mental Health First Aid Course?

“I applied for several roles online, that I don’t necessarily have experience in, when this opportunity was offered to me for free, which is a big part of it, especially when someone is unemployed, to get a certificate for free and a guaranteed interview it was just too good of an offer to turn down. Also, they say they support those who haven’t been successful at the initial interview, so I’ll take any help I can get. I haven’t been unemployed since I was 17 so this is new territory for me. I must say the staff have been accommodating, friendly, understanding, non-judgemental and they try their best to get everyone through.”

What goals did you have going in to the course?

“I have previous experience of some of the topics covered, however some of the roles I’ve applied for I don’t have experience, so the Lean part of the course is new to me. So, my goal is to gain experience, gain certificates and ultimately attain employment.”

What are some skills you’ve gained on the course?

“The Lean process is very new to me, I’m in my comfort zone so far with mental health, but the Lean process is completely new.”

What have you enjoyed about the course?

“I’ve enjoyed getting back into a routine, being unemployed is not something that I’m used to, it’s been nice to have a purpose.”

Do you think this course will help you with your career goals and ambitions?

“Yes it will, there’s a guaranteed interview, and as I’ve said if unsuccessful the agency will support me. So it’s nice to have them on my side as opposed to just me submitting my CV left right and centre, it can’t really be a bad thing.”

Would you recommend the course to others?

“Yes I would, as I’ve said you get the qualifications, so I think it is worth it.”
