We are seeking a passionate, inspiring and self-driven individual who can truly spark a love of learning in the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on engaging diverse groups of learners, builds confidence, and creates an inclusive and motivating learning environment. You will be highly motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality short courses that support learners in progressing, achieving, and succeeding.

This is a full-time position delivering short courses across a range of community, classroom and workplace settings throughout the Northeast.

Additional upskilling training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key responsibilities are aligned to the company’s Teaching and Learning Strategy.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners of all age groups across a variety of programmes and settings (classroom, workplace and community).
  • Drive learner progression, retention, achievement and satisfaction in line with company KPIs.
  • Effectively support learners from a wide range of backgrounds, adapting delivery to meet individual needs.
  • Develop engaging, challenging learning materials and resources using strong subject knowledge and/or industry experience.
  • Use imaginative and inclusive teaching strategies to maximise learner engagement and success.
  • Provide consistent, constructive and high-quality feedback to learners.
  • Embed Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) within teaching and assessment practice.
  • Promote and integrate equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the learning experience.
  • Safeguard learners and follow company safeguarding procedures when required.
  • Provide appropriate advice, guidance and career progression support to help learners achieve positive next steps.

Programme Areas Delivered

You will have recent experience delivering qualifications such as:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Warehousing
  • Customer Service
  • Lean Organisation Management Techniques
  • Personal and Social Development

Delivery may include programmes up to Level 2 and above.

Qualifications & Training

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Possess an appropriate vocational qualification in the sector relevant to the teaching area.
  • Hold an Assessor Award or be willing to work towards one.
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of occupational experience, and be able to demonstrate a high level of practical skill in the sector relevant to the teaching area
  • Have experience in teaching/training in an educational or workplace environment.
  • Have experience in undertaking assessments in a training provider and in the workplace.
  • Have experience of NVQs/QCFs/Apprenticeship delivery in the relevant sector.

Special requirements

  • References which are satisfactory to the Company
  • Evidence of qualification certificates
  • Be willing to undertake a DBS Enhanced Disclosure check
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).

Our Head Office is based in Newton Aycliffe. Tutors will be required to travel to various delivery locations across the North East.
