Level 3 Recruitment Consultant Apprenticeship – Newton Aycliffe
Recruitment Consultant Apprentice
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Salary: £8.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Apprenticeship: Recruitment
We are looking for a confident, outgoing and motivated Recruitment Consultant Apprentice to join a busy business based in Newton Aycliffe.
Recruitment is all about people, so this is a heavily telephone-based role. You will spend a significant amount of your working day speaking with candidates and clients, so you must be comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations and building relationships.
You don’t need previous recruitment experience as you’ll receive training and support, but you do need to be a self-starter. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t need to be constantly prompted to make the next call and who is motivated to keep going in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Making and receiving a high volume of telephone calls
- Speaking with candidates about available opportunities
- Screening candidates and understanding their experience
- Building relationships with candidates
- Speaking with clients to understand their recruitment requirements
- Matching suitable candidates to opportunities
- Arranging interviews and following up afterwards
- Keeping candidates and clients updated throughout the recruitment process
- Writing and advertising vacancies
- Searching for suitable candidates
- Updating recruitment systems and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting with general administration
- Developing new and existing business relationships
- Moving vehicles when required as part of the wider business
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Genuinely confident on the telephone
- Comfortable making outgoing calls and starting conversations
- Friendly, personable and able to build rapport
- A self-starter with plenty of initiative
- Motivated and target-driven
- Resilient and able to stay positive when things don’t go to plan
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Professional in both written and verbal communication
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Comfortable working within a busy, fast-moving environment
- A full UK driving licence is highly beneficial due to the nature of the business, as there will occasionally be a requirement to move vehicles.
The apprenticeship
Alongside your day-to-day role, you will complete a Recruitment apprenticeship, developing your knowledge and skills across areas such as candidate attraction, screening, client relationships, vacancy management, recruitment processes, compliance, negotiation and business development.
This would suit someone with plenty of personality and confidence who enjoys speaking to people and wants to build a career in recruitment. If you’re the type of person who will pick up the phone and make things happen rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to do next, we’d love to hear from you.
Work Location: In person
