An established and growing metals company is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join their team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in warehousing and logistics while gaining hands-on experience and a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the receipt, unloading, and storage of incoming materials
• Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
• Preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
• Conducting stock checks and supporting inventory control processes
• Operating basic warehouse equipment (training provided)
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times

Apprenticeship Details

• On-the-job training alongside experienced warehouse staff
• Opportunity to work towards a recognised Level 2 Warehouse Operative qualification
• Dedicated support from a training provider throughout the programme

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Punctual and reliable
