About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join a busy warehouse team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in warehousing and logistics while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification. No previous experience is required as full training and support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Loading and unloading goods safely.
• Storing stock in the correct warehouse locations.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory counts.
• Ensuring products are labelled and stored accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Basic numeracy and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.
