Blending Room Operative Apprentice – Newcastle
We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Blending Room Operative for our client based in Newcastle.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the production plan is followed and blends are produced OTIF and within customer specification.
The key duties and responsibilities of this role are to:
Ensure blends are issued to the correct lines OTIF, each time performing high level of accuracy checks
- Operate blending equipment effectively to maximise efficiency
- Ensure all blending documents are completed accurately
- Strictly adhere to all H&S and food safety procedures, as well as other company policies
- Ensure adherence to all quality standards, with a focus on brand integrity and authenticity
- Always maintain a clean and organised workspace, following 5S principles
- Show a comprehensive understanding and application of HACCP and CCP’s
- Foster clear communication and collaboration with team members
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives

The successful candidate will complete the Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship and will be supported throughout by Optimum Skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
