Apprentice Content Creator – Newton Aycliffe (Optimum Skills)
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven content creator apprentice to join the Optimum Skills team based at our Newton Aycliffe Hub. The role will be ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in content creation, through a variety of media including graphic design, videography, photography, and copy writing. This role will include the opportunity to travel across the North East to our other hubs, employer partners and events.
About the Role
Location: Based at our Head Office in Newton Aycliffe. You will be required to work from our other North East Hubs on occasion.
Wage: £7.55 per hour (National Apprentice Minimum Wage)
Working Week: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 5pmandFriday, 8:30am – 3pm
Job Purpose: To support the Optimum Skills Marketing Team in the creation of purpose driven content which is integral to our overall marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content creation in line with the Optimum Skills brand
- Using design software to create graphics and visuals for social media and our website
- Supporting with writing case studies, blogs and news for website and social media channels
- Develop content aligned with the marketing strategy
- Photography
- Video creation for social media channels
- Supporting with daily monitoring of all social media channels
- Supporting in email marketing campaigns
- Use of online digital tools such as Google Analytics, Google my Business, WordPress
Experience: No experience required, as you will be learning on the job.
About You
Desired Skills
- A good level of written communication skills (spelling, grammar, and creative writing)
- Knowledge of Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
- Design and creative skills
- Photography
- Videography
- Punctual and good at timekeeping
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car as you will be required to travel to our other hubs and employers as part of the role
