Office / Administration Apprentice duties:

  • Processing new customer orders.
  • Arranging daily / weekly transport.
  • Producing daily despatch paperwork.
  • Goods in receipts on sage.
  • Screwfix Portal – raising new PO’s, ASN, paperwork, pallet labels and booking transport.
  • RS Portal – raising PO’s, ASN, paperwork, pallet labels and booking transport.
  • Raise / chase proforma payment for new customer orders.
  • Support Supply Chain / Production administration when required.
  • Maintaining stock levels to agreed level.
  • Ordering Supplies and Services and receipt and storage.
  • Printing, Photocopying and Filling.
  • Manage information requests via calls, electronic mailbox, voice mails, emails and personal callers.
  • Using Information Technology which includes Microsoft Office and in house systems.
  • Assisting in gathering statistics relating to activity levels, service usage and customer satisfaction.
  • Making a positive contribution to the design, implementation and maintenance of office systems and procedures.
  • Answering the telephone promptly and in the correct manner.
  • Directing and screening calls, taking messages efficiently where required.
  • You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as being confident in using your own initiative.
  • Provide general support for all departments to ensure communication is constant and clear.

General:

  • The successful candidate will be required to work to deadlines and will be required to be punctual and reliable at all times.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will need to complete your Functional skills if you do not already have your Maths and English at GCSE Level.

You will complete the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship standard as part of the role, the training will be provided by Optimum skills.
