Occupational hygiene forms the link between exposure to a hazard and the risk of illness arising from that exposure. It relies on the identification of a hazard, then the ability to quantify the risk to health from that hazard and finally, having the experience and skill to recommend appropriate measures to control the risk.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Hygiene Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the consultants in day-to-day operations. This includes attending various clients sites from heavy engineering, pharmaceuticals, bakeries and rural farms to conduct testing and hygiene related investigations.

Typical week is Monday-Friday and some occasional weekend work. Working away is essential when needed.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will need to complete your Functional skills if you do not already have your Maths and English at GCSE Level.

You will complete the Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 as part of the role, the training will be provided by Optimum skills.
